hey every one Ive run into a weird situation I need to do 802.1q tunking on a bond but also have a raw bridge which is independently controlled on the same bond.
so in other words what i need is
bond0 => eth0,eth1 bond0.1 # vlan 1 br0 =>bond0 br0.2 # vlan 2 br0.3 # vlan3
now here is the fun part i cant do bond0 => eth0,eth1 br0 =>bond0 br0.1 # vlan 1 br0.2 # vlan 2 br0.3 # vlan3
because a remote piece of software which is controlling br0 and the other vlans needs to be able to talk to the box on bond0.1
I'm going to test this but I wanted to know if any one knew off the top of their heads before I try going down this rabbit hole.
PS This is what happens when a manager tries to save money on a project by cutting out things out which he or she believes aren't needed without talking to the engineer who was the architect of the project.
