OK
Here is the Fraud work of the day. This one has been pissing me off. I wrote a full essay on this topic which is now on the NYLXS site if you haven't already read it.
This is total canned political news by a fantastically funded lobbying campaign which will sit there all day and all night until it strips bare and semblance of reality.
http://techcrunch.com/2013/05/05/there-is-in-fact-a-tech-talent-shortage-and-there-always-will-be/
Now this is what really makes me dead red:
An Economic Policy Institute study claims that there is a surplus of American engineers, and, as a result, has garnered national headlines in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and The Atlantic for busting ?"The Myth of America's Tech-Talent Shortage"? It has fueled protectionist critics who rail against the high-skilled visa system for a being a low-paying indentured servitude scheme to trap vulnerable foreigners into low-paying, exploitative companies.
How many lies can be stuffed into one poorly written paragraph?
First: This is an immigration, higher education, and fariness issue. It has nothing to do with protectionism, although frankly I think using Chinese Slave Labor to make outragously expensive iphones a moral outrage founded on a nother whole set of lies and fraud.
Secondly: There is no Myth of America's fucking UNEMPLOYMENT RATES in IT and the completely fucked up age discrimination and total failure of our education system to get Americans who are unemployeed up to speed!!
Zuckerburg can go fuck himself. Education should NEVER be a criteria for allowing or disallowing immigrants to come to the US. Only humanitarian considerations whould be used. If they can't find enough engineers than LOOK HARDER ... I have a bunch of them right here in the Bronx...
