SUBJECT | Subject: [NYLXS - HANGOUT] Graphics and Photographs
|
I've been working with a lot of graphics (actually I've been doing that for decades but aside from that...) and with coin photography, while balance has been a very difficult problem. The advise I'd recieved is to shoot in RAW mode and do the white balance by hand in the software.
The gimp has a plugin for this called ufraw and it has been very difficult to use. The results have not nearly been as good as hoped. Instead, I hunted down a new program called RawTherapee. This program, as I much as I've been able to understand it up until now, has proven to be very very good

The results are posted on the coinhangout forum..
