Hello
I have a fit/PC which has a Intel GMA500 Poulsbo video chip in it. It
doesn't function correctly as can be seen in this bug report
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-bugs/2013-03/msg04778.html
The device is connected to a DVI connected screen and everything is
scrunched up into the upper left hand corner of the screen. I think it
is running through the VESA frame buffer? The device is running on an
updated openSuSE 12.2. I managed to get the system to not run through
the frame buffer, giving me full console at least, not no X capability.
Since I've been using it as a server, that has been fine. But know
after the latest upgrade, the boot screen has changed and the viewport
is squashed into the corner again.
The chips worked with openSuSE 11.3, so I don't even know how it is now
working, but please, it is possible, let me know if there is a kernel
driver i can install to make it work with X11 properly, or get rid of
the frame buffer permanently this time.
Ruben
