Well, the danger is not zero, but the outcome is rather certain. The only
issue restraining action at present is China. However, China has no present
attachment to them either, except as a buffer state. For China, the real
issue is US forces in SK represent a first strike threat, much like Jupiter
missles did to Kruschev, or, for that matter, Russian missles in Cuba. If the
US offered China a deal for a demilitarized Korea after "unification", I think
the NK "problem" could likely disappear within days...
