NYLUG has been incorporated by a handful of mostly inactive or
not-active-in-NYLUG people who declared they had the right to
incorporate NYLUG and did so outside of thirteen year old policies
observed continuously back to its founding. These people also decided
to exclude the member volunteers of NYLUG who requested to become
directors. They have refused to endorse an agreement to allow NYLUG
members to become officers and directors.
They also announced I resigned from NYLUG. This statement is not true.
If you wish to express your displeasure with this misappropriation of
NYLUG, you may contact the coup leadership at info-at-nylug.org
NYLUG belongs to you, not to them. They only get away with this if you
let them. Demand that directorship and officers are elected by the
members of NYLUG. Demand that there be no self-selecting,
self-perpetuating board. I have done all I can to stand up for you, now
it is time for the members of NYLUG to stand up for themselves.
