Mikies tried to post this to vox from a non-subscribed address, so it was discarded by Mailman. Fwd'ing along. (Though I wonder if vox-tech would be a more appropriate list...?)
PS - Peter Jay Salzman founded LUGOD back in the day. :)

Heya all,
I have a project that I need to research that requires a custom Linux Kernal to eliminate extraneous kernal device drivers. Part of the project probably will require a custom device driver to /init the custom software.
I have 'Linux Device Drivers', Corbet, Rubini, & Kroah-Hartman, O'Reilly Publishing, and am free-reading atm.
Product Details
Linux Device Drivers, 3rd Edition
I am looking at the following tomes.
Product Image
* The Linux Kernel Module Programming Guide * by Peter Jay Salzman (Paperback)
Product Image
* Linux Kernel Development (3rd Edition) * by Robert Love (Paperback)
Any opinions or recommendations on texts devoted to the programming of the Linux Kernal for special projects?
TIA,
MJR
