Rubin Please don'tdo that, the last thing I want to see is jay dancing lol.
But seriously there is a lot of prep I would like to do rather than the off the cuff stuff we've done in the past. For example I would like to get announcements out a few months in advance so people will have sufficient time to set a side the money.
This is why I think we need to have an educational commitie meeting to dicuss it

Essentialy we haven't done this kind of thing in 5 years so there are things that need to be planed. For example promotion, funding, and finally updating the curiculum. Don't get pffended by the updates to the curiculum you did a great job writing it but there are things which can be clarified based on my teaching coworkers using your curiculum as a base, and while I none of the rederic that I don't dissagree with could be re-phrased in a way that gets the point accross in an easier to understand way that is less likely to make people think we are absolute zelots without logical reasons. > >> > >> > >>-----Original Message----- > >> > >>From: Ruben Safir > >>Subj: Re: [NYLXS - HANGOUT] Perl Programming Courses 1 and 2 > >>Date: Fri Feb 18, 2011 1:19 pm > >>Size: 2K > >>To: hangout-at-mrbrklyn.com > >>cc: Paul Robert Marino > >> > >>On 02/18/2011 12:25 PM, Paul Robert Marino wrote: > >>>Well rubin you need to give them more than a weeks notice and tell them how many people you expect to come if you want to schedule the back room. > >>> > >>> > >>I appreciate that but I don't have a spare $2,500 to pledge at the > >>moment unless someone else has it. > >> > >>Ruben > >> > >>>-----Original Message----- > >>> > >>>From: Ruben Safir > >>>Subj: Re: [NYLXS - HANGOUT] Perl Programming Courses 1 and 2 > >>>Date: Thu Feb 17, 2011 11:58 pm > >>>Size: 2K > >>>To: hangout-at-mrbrklyn.com > >>> > >>>Also, can we schedule a C++ workshop next week. > >>> > >>>Ruben > >>> > >>>On Thu, Feb 17, 2011 at 11:03:00AM -0500, Paul Robert Marino wrote: > >>> > >>>>Rubin > >>>> from my initial discussion with th manager at suspenders the would charge us $500 a night to use the room for class space. > >>>>So we would need to get atleast 7 people to signup just to break even. > >>>>For that they will the room up for us as a class room in advance for us every night set up a PA at our request make sure the WIFI is functioning and ofcourse we would have use of the LCD projector. > >>>>It shouldn't be to hard to get the number of people we need --- message truncated ---
