Verizon's getting very aggressive about FiOS, their FTTP offering, which
aside from the particularly crappy router they want you to use with it,
is much faster and available under similar terms as Verizon DSL.
They've also been in the news for ripping your copper out at their box
to ensure you can never return to DSL.
