Republican -- of course..which means we need a lot of foot work but with the position on the Tolls, MTA and increased taxes I think we have a real chance. In addition, I can talk about Medicaid expenses and make real cuts to the program without affecting care in a way that others can not.

Cutting back on graft and medicaid can cover most expenses. The state is filled with set asides in Education and Healthcare that plunder the treasury and these can be directly addressed.
For example, I filled an RX today for Levaquin for a patient that should have been on Cipro - a Community aquired simple chest infections. Levaquin is on the Downstate Medical Center formulary and they pay $3.00 a table. On the outside Medicaid then pays $37.00 a tablet, $300 an RX.
This is an intentional set aside in the medicaid budget to suite the Pharmacy company.

I tend to talk loudly and keep hot issues on the front page.

Can't say I've heard of it Matthew. Most evil in NYS happens because of apathy and pandering. I don't pander and I'm not apathetic.
Enjoying the new taxes that go into affect on April 15th including a ton of new internet taxes: See this from Heritage Auctions:
Effective April 15th Heritage will be required by state law to charge all applicable sales taxes on any items delivered to New York addresses other than sales to dealers with valid New York sales tax numbers who are purchasing for resale and who furnish us with a properly completed New York resale certificate (exempt purchasers may, of course, furnish us with properly completed New York exemption certificates). Please see paragraph #25 in our Terms and Conditions for more complete information.
