But the main thing now is to contact Kruger and your local people and tell them that your not buying the "(Tolls and Taxes )or Cutbacks" senerio and that you know that if the MTA kills the 15.2 billion dollar LIRR extension that the MTA then has another 12 billion for car and station repair in addition to maintaining current service.
And FWIW, I do think that the threat to toll the bridges is a hot enough button to cause a dismanttling of the MTA. And I know why the MTA would rather not take the handout the Senate was offering than to raise fares...and that is because of Bloomberg.
