I say this is actually a good thing.
Remember, he's up for reelection. If this is as bad an idea as everyone seems to think, it will clearly backfire dramatically and then we're finall= y done with him.
On the other hand, if this works, then clearly he's a mad genius instead of simply being mad, and we get him in office for another four years.
Either way, it's a win.

this is not true. =A0The route to the Brooklyn Bridge from Times Square
is right down Broadway. =A0It is a stupid, if not insane idea.
As it is they screwed up Times Square because they removed the
7th ave, B'way cross, took away road space, =A0and it immediately
turned part of 6th Avenue into a unused outdoor dining room,
and cost me $14 more a cab ride from 54th Street when they did that
when they did the Times Square Shuffle. =A0And then DOWNTOWN the shaved
lanes off of broadway just for spite.
As for the pedestrians, and I happen to be someone who doesn't own
a car, THEY ARE TOURIST. =A0the problem isn't space, its that they
don't MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
