Chat InformationHello, you are now chatting with Chad.
Chad: Hi there! My Name is Chad, chatting with you from Colorado. So you don't have to repeat your information, please allow me a moment to review what you’ve said so far.
Chad: Excellent. I’ll be glad to help out any way I can with what HP has to offer. But to be honest, never heard of just a scanner working with Linux. FYI, hp does not support any product we offer on linux. Linux is a 3rd party sopport need.....
Chad: http://www.linuxprinting.org/printer_list.cgi?make=HP
Chad: there is the linux web page for printer support.
Chad: Never seen a web page or support for just a scanner model.
Guest: hello
Chad: hi
Guest: Actually - you have supported Linux and it is corperate policy to do so
Chad: sorry, not sure what you mean there.
Guest: and I've worked with HP engineers on the Senjet5 but I broke it a while back
Chad: ok, very nice!
Guest: FYI, hp does not support any product we offer on linux >>
Guest: OK - your not much use giving me wrong information
Chad: HP direct does not support Linux - you will not find any support at all on the hp site for any hp product. Linux is a 3rd party support. You can do some searches on the internet for linux support needs if needed though.
Guest: You sell products preinstalled with SuSE and you have your own version of Linux
Chad: we do, yes....and they do not support printers, etc
Guest: Ok - but your wrong
Chad: ok
Guest: is anyone there who actually knows what they are talking about?
Chad: Sorry this is so confusing for you.
Guest: otherwise I'll just call the campus in Camlifornia and not waste any more time
Chad: You asked a simple question. I gave a correct answer.
Chad: ok..have a great day!
