I have sometimes described myself as a long-suffering Gnome user. That probably says everything you need to know about that. I've felt that a lot of people (in our circle of associates) have been taking up the more lightweight systems like Fluxbox. I'm likely to give one of them a try on my next desktop.

I stopped using Evolution some time ago, but that was written in C or C++. I suspect if anything they've gone and hung bits of Mono on it just to force people to run it. That would be in keeping with the way things seemed to be at Ximian. Miguel and Nat and Co. are on a mission to infest every Linux box with Mono.
