Its not just uptime its also a dedicated circut. All dsl circuts are over booked which meens that its most likely you will get the full bandwidth you pay for at any given time but its not garanteed nor is the uptime on your connection.
I once knew some one who got a Verison dsl and literaly had a 0% uptime. Verison even admited this but would not give her a refund because there was absolutly no garantee on the uptime or even that it would work at all. She quickly switched to a cable modem after that.

I once had an OSD-23 line for $1500 with insurance and a few other goodies as long as I paid this steep price. It was worth it. Too bad I had to lose it due to a bad business partner who did not kept up with the payments. > > All you need is 1 router and 1 (preferably 2) DNS servers, and 1 or more webservers. nothing more. > > I'm currently running a simillar configuration for a friend's site: LIDNetwork.com The webserver hosts other sites as well on a Business ADSL-2. > >
the NYLXS DSL is as fast as a T1 and half the price. The real advantage of the T1 is uptime guarantees
