RIAA Takes Aim At Blogging Attorney Demands that troublemaking blogger/attorney be punished... 09:27AM Thursday Sep 18 2008 by Karl Bode tags: legal · Fileswapping · business Over the last few years, attorney Ray Beckerman has been defending broadband users accused of copyright infringement by the RIAA, and frequently blogs about it. His blog frequently highlights instances where the RIAA has sued individuals in error, often highlighting the tenuous legal ground many RIAA cases rest on. The RIAA is now targeting Beckerman, claiming he's a "vexatious" litigator, and demanding unspecified monetary sanctions to punish him for blogging about his cases.
Update: "I've already had 7,500 visitors to my blog and people are offering to send me financial contributions," Beckerman tells P2PNet.
