SUBJECT | Subject: [NYLXS - HANGOUT] NYC Open Source Mapping event this weekend
|
Dear NYLXSers,
OpenStreetMap is a collection of Free Software mapping tools and Open Map data. Come learn about OpenStreetMap tools, methods and results with experienced and other new mappers. We're Linux enthusiasts with a knack for mapping. Come find out why it is so much fun.
We run mapping parties which are events where anyone can come along, we lend a GPS and show you how to go out and do some mapping and get the data in to openstreetmap. We have one coming up in New York 20/21 September. They are informal events with no explicit time commitment and often a social element / beer afterward.
