Dear Ruben,
A Major Company in NYC has an excellent opportunity for an HP-UX Senior Systems Analyst. Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include hardware and software installations. The candidate will be supporting customization and implementation of Omniback & Netbackup 6.0 other responsibilities includes authoring security and troubleshooting documents. This position also requires daily troubleshooting and capacity planning on our mission critical HP-UX & Linux environments. Additionally you will test and develop new software and document standards and operating procedures for HP-UX and Linux systems. Upgrade HP-UX and Linux operating systems, re-install and recover the HP-UX and Linux operating system and associated applications for disaster recovery. A primary responsibility will be to maintain a disaster recovery environment. Interface with vendors on software and hardware configurations. Requirements: Candidate must possess excellent project management, technical writing and oral communication skills. This individual must demonstrate the ability to exercise independent judgment, manage multiple complex projects and render sound business decisions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Information Technology. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years experience with the HP-UX operating system versions 11.0 and 11i, MC - Service guard (for UNIX Clustering), and Linux 4.0. They should also possess Shell scripting. In-depth knowledge of HP9000, HP Integrity, and Knowledge of EMC Clariion SAN environment is preferable. Knowledge of Perl scripting, Websphere MQ series and Sterling Commerce Gentran Integration Suite is a plus.
