I agree but it has stopped doing that, It started with the debian bloat, my own fault. I should have known better than to trust debian.

It all comes down to expectation. > For me I just want a simple machine to do my perl hacking, update my resume, ocasionaly browse the web, and be able to hook up to my cell phone in and vpn and ssh into the systems at work if there is an emergecy at work while durring off hours. everything else I do on my quadcore amd desktop at home or a server at work. > > I don't expect my eeepc to be a postgresql development or to do all of the things I would expect a full size laptop to do. So I'm happy with the abundance of functions it has. Also I spent the extra $100 for the 4GB flash and bigger battery so I don't have some of the same complaint as Rubin about storage space and battery life. > ----------------------- > Sent from my Treo(r) smartphone > > -----Original Message----- > From: Mark Simko > Date: Thursday, Jul 31, 2008 5:27 pm > Subject: Re: [NYLXS - HANGOUT] Time to trash the eeepc > To: hangout-at-mrbrklyn.comReply-To: hangout-at-mrbrklyn.com > > Ah, perhaps you've come to your senses. > > I did the same with the Cloudbook.
