SUBJECT | Subject: [NYLXS - HANGOUT] Need to get rid of a whole bunch of programming books. TALK ABOUT FREE
|
Folks, I have 60+ programming books I need to get rid of. Many hard bound. Including lots of PERL, Python, Tcl/Tk, C/C++, Linux programming, Linux in a Nutshell, Linux Clusters, Using UNIX, Software Testing, Operating System design, etc., etc.,etc.
All but 2 of these books that came with a CD don't have the CD (older books). Otherwise, the CDs are there, and most are still sealed.
There are many college level text books. Most are very expensive.
NOTE: this collection contains Tanenbaum's Operating System book with un-sealed CD. (This is the MINIX O.S. on which LINUX is based.) There is an Operating System Design book with a separate un-opened sealed package with the CDs.
ATTENTION: I also have the second edition of Kernigan & Ritchie's C Programming Language book AND the third edition of Bjuarne Struostrop's C++ Programming Language book.
I will throw in an autographed copy of Richard Stallman's essays on Free Software. He wrote, "Happy Hacking Richard Stallman".
HERE COMES THE CATCH: Please take the whole 300 lbs. I do not have a vehicle. I live in Midwood, Brooklyn. I will help load the books into your vehicle.
It has been suggested by 2 people that I simply leave the whole mountain outside, next to the apartment's garbage area. I would rather not, but it may come to that. I would rather give them away then throw them away.
If interested, please contact me at sderrick-at-optonline.net
Thank you very much.
P.S. Ruben, call me if you want.
