Ruben, BTW, more recent versions of KNOPPIX use union fs. They use it to allow you to make changes to the configuration systems. ex: you can not write to /etc if /etc is on a cdrom but with unionfs, it allows the machine to show you /etc that is comeing from the cdrom and allows you to make changes to it. In the past this allows for changes all over the "filesystem" in that anytime you want to make a change, it is writing to the change to a ramdisk but the files that are not changed are on the cdrom.
