I also teach and I also am a Pharmacist who deals with a very large
segment of the general population and let me assure you that a very large
percentage of the population, mostly due to education but also due to generics
do have to learn the hard way or do need to be told something over and over
and over again. And if you've raised children you can identify this as
a somewhat normal phase of human intellectual development.

If you teach the first rule is patience, and the second rule is MORE patience.

Trust is essential. And remember that this is also archived which means
it can harm somone years from now down the road. WE ALL have grabs snippets
of code and found help with a google google, dejanews search and tried
something, especially ambitious and motivated beginners and young people.
