I find webmail in general to be a horror, but e-mail programs that work
correctly have become a dying art across the board. If nothing else,
this thread earlier proved that you can't just write mail software by
looking at the output. Lots of little rules to follow, and not all of
them are part of an RFC either. The RFC process is too glacial to
respond to things like spam and other network abuse, so everything one
really needs to know about those things exists outside the Internet's
formal documentation.
