I run a Mac, and soon I plan on getting the New Leopard. Would I be able to have Windows XP or Vista, Mac Leopard and Linux on my laptop if possible?
Reach for the moon. Even if you miss, you land amongst the stars... ________________________________________________________________ Sent via the WebMail system at imail.fitnyc.edu The answer is yes, but it is not an easy one. Using BootCamp you can set 2 partitions on the hard drive for the Windows and MacOSX. Once in the Windows mode, you can create another partition on thhe hard drive for Linux.
The Intel Mac does not have a Windows Compatbile BIOS. Putting BootCamp will give the Intel Mac that BIOS, and Intel based Linux can be added to the Mac Intel system.
PowerPC Macs have their own versions of Linux. Yellow Dog is a Red Hat Variant. The larger distros have their own PowerPC Versions that will run on these Macs.
