I have little patients these days for name calling. Its far too destructive.

Don't give that serious thought. I've already had about 4 hours of phone calls and several emails considering this on both coasts discussing your specific email and we're fleshing out a means to bring this to light. But I'll be amazed how anyone can do a serious presentation on Free Software uses of multimedia and twist it up. This is rubber hitting road. You can't DO free software for multimedia without freeing the media. If your reading an antagonism or impatients in my post your just misinterpreting my normal Brooklyn disposition.
Keep in mind, however, that these papers, if we get good ones, are already written, awaiting a place to presented and published. I very strongly feel that the body of work, especially as presentations are vetted by our standing commitee which would include you, would not be able to stand on their own as examples of Free Software making Free media. We are not going to allow someone to present a DRM encrypted peice of hardware just because it has "Linux" inside.
