Richard, your not raising any broad and fundemental questions
here. This is simple stuff and lets not complicate it. The
question is how can we asure adequate attention to the political
issues that involve Free Software. This consideration began with
the selection of topic. When the topic was selected for
multimedia and free software, it inherently addresses most key
political issues.
In my experience, that is not the case as a general rule.
Some specific planning is needed to make it true.
There is more than one way to do it, and I am not stubbornly attached
to the idea I proposed. But I would like people to seriously consider
this idea, rather than reject it with name-calling.

This is an idea worthy more thought and consideration, but having
every presenter make oaths of allegence and to sing some version
of the International...
is not what my proposal is about. It calls for thought and analysis,
not repetition.
What is the point of having me in this discussion
if you don't at least seriously consider what I say?
