First, there are 2 issue. The first issue is that anything which seperates Brooklyn from Manhattan is a violation of the City's sovernity, and I will not brouch it. The 5 boroughs are 1 city, and we have the right to free travel anywhere in our city, without any other considerations.
Secondly, I'm at LICH, right off the Gwonas Expressway, just before it heads under the Promanade. The trafic nighmare for New York is from the Toga Line that comes in over the Verazzano Bridge, from NJ, from the BQE and LIE from Nassua and Suffolk county. I've been subsidizing those pin heads access to NY via car for decades. Just shut off non-residential driving PERIOD, and the problem stops.
No more 20 block traffic jams to the Lincoln Tunnel, no more parking lot past Shea Stadium, no more...
If you don't live here, don't DRIVE HERE.
I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with the fcuking MTA screwing me every day and a brainless Manhattan Centric Mayor telling me that I'll be treated like someone from Baldwin.
