I hear you, defiantly, but living on 1st ave is 10 times worse than living on the edge of the Gowanas Expressway which I did for 18 years.
That said there is better than Kings Hwy on a busy day. Traffic sucks anywhere in this town, but you're forgetting Manhattan gets it from all angles, not only LI which kills Brooklyn. We get NJ too.
And yes, moving is an option, one I'm not quick to do. ut next time we grab a beer in the village I'll show you the inch of soot, rubber & asphalt dust on my windowsills that settles as quick as I can wipe it. Pray for my lungs!
