NYC technology company is seeking an expert linux sysadmin for both onsite and offsite contract work.
* Must have strong communication skills and a good "bedside manner" * Ability to research issues and solve problems independently
Required administration experience and expert knowledge of the following technologies on Linux Servers:
* Webservers (Apache, PHP, mod_perl, Tomcat, mod_ssl) * Database Servers (MySQL) * Linux server administration & shell commands/scripting (perl, sh, sed, awk, rsync) * Layer-7 Load Balancing
Desirable experience, skills & proficiencies:
* Email Servers (qmail) * Fileservers (samba) * Directory Servers (ldap) * DNS servers (bind, djbdns a real plus) * Experience supporting e-commerce application servers in a large production environment
