This coming Weekend we are going to Lake Placid in ordere to do just that.
I want to make a Freedom-IT conference every winter there, to allow people to do an UConference ;) and to ski and mengle. Your expertise will be most welcome and I'd be interest in your feedback.
Of course, what is the first step to getting funding?
Freedom-IT as orgininally conceived will be conference and education based. The idea will be to get the best people in Free Software, preferably leaders of their projects, to do technical presentations and training on the use and development of their projects. If we could get Corperate sponsorship to fly people in, that would be HUGE start.
