That story sucks and as soon as Ron posted the message that we were going to get at least one email with a nightmare story like this.
I hope your friend gets his situation straightened out. When I brought my picture book people said similar things abotu Sony, and yet my Viao was pretty ruggard until its death. In any event, I'd send a letter to the NY Attorney Generals office about this.
All that being said, my ex Ex-Wife won a machine for free at the party. So I guess we will have one go through the Safir kids test!
