Normally I would dive into a show like this but 2 words gave it 3 strikes... Nokia and N800. Why?
A friend of mine has both the 770 and 800, having just bought the 800 last month with his Xmas money, but while having the 770 since last summer. The 800 died 3 weeks ago, after having it for a total of 2 weeks, and it was sent to that 57th street store when he first bought it. He was given a receipt which had some internet code to check on its repair.
After 5 days, my friend used the code to check on the status of its repair. Answer: Unit Sent Back to Factory in Japan. Unit's Warentee has been Voided.
I saw that unit, it was working fine until one day it decided not to turn on. We figured that since it maybe a battery problem- let Nokia deal with it. It seems now that they are trying their best to burn my friend.
We'll have to see how it turns out, for now, the adventure continues. So far, Igive it a thumb up on inovation and 2 thumbs down on implementation and tech support. Add a crotch grab and flying bird finger on the tech supprt. It was such a lovely machine too...
