PHP/MySQL Developer
WANTED: Hybrid over achieving night owl developer, who is familiar working in a LAMP environment, meets relatively sane day walker.
Antharia is looking to expand our Web Development team. We are looking for both a junior and a senior developer who believes in committing your work and commenting your code.
Jeans, tee-shirts, dog friendly, 36 hour work week, jammies welcome, medical, dental, vision, annual retreat, comprehensive paid time off, holidays, and retirement plan are among the benefits at Antharia.
Antharia works primarily with advocacy based nonprofits, associations and conscious corporations, so check out our client list and make sure you will fit in with our vision. We want the new hire to contribute to the growth and success of both our company and the organizations we work with; therefore we want you to feel right at home here.
*Now for the formal speak… duties and specific responsibilities include:*
· Maintain and create new modules and functionality for existing object oriented PHP/MySQL products. Products include: CMS, CRM, eCommerce, Communication and Event Management System. Previous experience in these areas is not required, but should be highlighted on your resume.
· Applicants at both junior and senior level must know PHP inside and out.
· Teach and educate students and co-workers through Antharia University an on-site and online training facility.
· Senior developers must be versed in MySQL and be able to query with the best of them.
· The big duh, you must have solid HTML, CSS skills and be willing to tinker the crap out of JavaScript.
· XML, XHTML, RSS, this isn’t alphabet soup.
· Eat, breath and sleep the Web, we will ask you which RSS feeds you subscribe to or what blogs you read?
· Intermediate understanding of: Dreamweaver preferred (as a code editor). Don't be shy if you know an earlier version.
· Must be a CODER not a DESIGNER. But if you know how to make web forms look pretty then we like you already.
· Solid written and verbal communication skills are required. “It works but it ain’t pretty…†is not an acceptable answer at Antharia. Usability and a team environment is at our core.
· Knowledge of other programming and databases such as perl, c, SQL, etc are a plus.
*How to apply?*
Send a cover letter, telling us how great you are, with your resume to jordan-at-antharia.com. We will be looking to start interviews right away so have resume, will travel. Junior position pays 28-34k per year, Senior position pays 38-50k per year DOE.
Position is in Lanham, Maryland.
