My church is hosting a free CPR cours given by the FDNY on Thursday July 27th from 6:30 to 7:30pm if interested in attending email me for more info.
___This is not official certification, but a good hands-on training course by the Fire Department in conjunction with the American Heart Association, and recommended for all parents and teachers, too. If you'll be out of town, don't worry, we'll attempt to have another in the early fall.
Through a new program with the FDNY , we will get the 1 hour training course, and apparently each person attending gets a CPR kit (CPR inflatable victim pillow, CPR Anytime Skills Pratice DVD, American Heart Association booklet) to take home and share as widely as possible.
The American Heart Association: The Family & Friends CPR Anytime Personal Learning Program allows families, friends and the general public – those who most likely would never attend a traditional CPR course – to learn the core skills of CPR in just 22 minutes using their own personal kit. This kit does not provide certification in CPR.
