Sensational. Not at ALL believable, though. The animations were clearly scripted, rather than modeled.
Check out "Cosmic Collisions" at the AMNH planetarium for the best SCIENTIFIC animations astronomy has. I saw it on opening day with Dewey and it was really something.
These idiots have Big Ben ringing under a sky of magma, and land surface being magically sucked upward by the lateral seismic shockwave of the collision.
The last space shot shows a melted waterless planet with continental shorelines still clearly visible. I guess that's so you can see where your house used to be, but it has nothing to do with real modeling.
