At the Gunbies meeting I saw some friendly faces, some old ones, one
nervous one, some new ones. discussion was lively and went left, right and
sideways. No dead bodies were created. No ambulance and no police were
called. In fact everyone sat at the same table and ate together after the
meeting.
Ahh the meeting Antonio Peripinan of FCLD (The Fundacion Codigo Libre
Dominicano) (http://www.codigolibre.org) his topic was Moving toward
Software Freedom: Finding good ways to do what you want with Free Software.
He is going to write an article for the Jounral (HINT,HINT). The FCLD has
been promoting and using Free Software in the Dominican Republic for the
past 10 years. Read more in the Journal (more HINTS).
They print and publish books, Business Cards (NYLXS cards, folders) The GNU
One textbook.
FCLD has two published textbooks in Spanish which NYLXS will get
translated into English. We can help each other. Help with the Expo.
