When I was at NYU, the kids pounded out course work with Java. Most of the students I worked with had more exposure to include Perl, C, ADA, some PHP lots of HTML, shell, livewire, LISP etc.
Not much wysisyg stuff though. But the other students were locked into the OO paridign without even knowning why.

I haven't looked at it in such a long time that I can't make an intelligent comment any longer.

IS that standard in todays schools? Did you do some assembly?
