I've just sent Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael
Chertoff a postcard to remind him of all of the national monuments and
icons that are home to New York City. When the Department of Homeland
Security cut funding to New York's Homeland Security Grant program this
week, they included a so-called 'explanation' that said the city had no
icons.
