The copyright holder has no "rights" they have a privledge. If they keep threatening people and pissing them off their privledges will be suspended. They know that which is why they step gently.
As for the book in question, screw Time Warner. There is nothing illegal about either copying your private property, or sharing it for non-comercial purposes.
As for the scan of the origianl Cancelled Comics Cavakcade, I'd like to see a scan of the original if anyone is willing to send me one. From the prespective of the history of the medium, it is very siginificant. If someone has a copy, I'd like to get a copy.
