Across the country, supermarket and general stores such as CVS pharmacies, Target, and Cub Foods have started trial runs with in-store medical clinics. They are generally staffed by nurses or physician assistants, and offer a limited range of basic tests and treatments at a lower cost than a doctor's office.
Patients never need an appointment and can drop by after regular business hours. The clinics usually offer diagnoses and treatment for a predefined set of minor illnesses, from ear infections to strep throat to bladder infections. Most offer vaccinations.
Doctors recommend, however, that such clinics are no substitute for treating chronic health conditions or diagnosing serious illnesses. In such cases and for individual and family wellness, candidates should seek affordable medical insurance.
If youre seeking an individual or family plan, we have provided the link below to help you determine the best plan with the lowest price available from top health insurance Providers.
