Minutes of the NYLXS Board Meeting, June 15, 2005
In attendance: Ruben Safir, Michael George, Adam Kosmin,
Joe Grastara, Dave Spira, Serge ____, Rob Marino,
Michael Richardson, Joanne Cripps.
Meeting held in the Brooklyn Marriot Lounge.
Discussion of Freedom IT: Resolved that Sunday meetings
be held on this in the Killarney Rose in Manhattan.
Inservices: Resolved that Inservices be held monthly,
current location is on State Street in Brooklyn. Next
scheduled Inservice is on Thurday, June 20th.
Resolved that active NYLXS members should submit topics
for Inservices they can personally present.
Discussion of possible FSCC projects: Healthcare related
software.
Discussion of promotion of GNU/Linux and Free Software
to Brooklyn College faculty, including via matriculation
as students; discussion of current BC rules.
Fundraising Committee report. Discussion of necessity
for finer breakdown of projected budget and current
expenditures.
