New York Linux Scene
Mission Statement
The primary focus of New York Linux Scene (NYLXS) is to support leadership
development in the Free Software community of the New York metropolitan area.
So that any Educational institution or business endeavor can take full advantage
of the opportunities afforded by Open Source software.
Our organization will accomplish leadership development by providing traditional
and virtual classroom training, lectures, installfests, journal publication,
technical development, developer networking and research of public policy
issues.
In summary, we seek to be a prominent body for the advocacy of Free and Open
Source software, in both the business and educational communities and thus help
develop a steady stream of Free and Open Source software adherents,
who strive for excellence.
