SUBJECT | Subject: [NYLXS - HANGOUT] Board Meeting Reminder

I'm going to move this conversation to hangout for a moment since it seems that, while not as appropriate, never the less, the discussion is at least legal on hangout.

The amateur moderation on NYLUG by every whining man-child IS tedious, and hurtful. I get this feeling that in general people have taken it for granted that because I'm so persistent at finding the positive qualities of people, and to work with nearly anyone to obtain goals, has been misconstrued to also mean that its just fine to make up any lies, to say and slander, and pass any negative rumor's that anyone wants.
What the hell did I ever do to Sunny other than buy him free meals and give him free trips to Washington DC. What, I disagreed with him about sound systems in Free Software and refused to adopt Mandrake?
And what the hell have I done to Peter Norton other than work with him at some protests and work with him in teaching Unix Tools?
And what had I ever done to Jay Schulzburger other than spell his name wrong and feed and shelter him for a 3 months. And what had I ever done to Marco other than object to his destructive whisper campaign which I still have documented. And what did I ever do to Alex Pilosoft other than send him customers, like Vincenzo, and shake his hand after a NYLUG meeting even after his trolling on NYLUG.
What did I ever do to Brett Wynkoop, aside from build all of Brooklyn on Line, and develop all of NY Fair Use, prior to his stealing of my clients and the NYLXS.ORG domain.
And what did I ever do to Selso at all?
And what have I done to you Ron, that you've been all but silent of late, other than disagree with you about bitkeeper.

That is JUST WRONG. You show me the post that this is the case and I'll be HAPPY to admit your right. In fact, the only discussions on these matters where with regard to the headers of the announcements lists, to say NYLXS Announce, or some such thing, which was changed until the I blew away the announcement robot before Passover. > > > > Your board members should be notified by you privately or on > > the NYLXS list for board meetings.
Our Board meetings have always been open to the public and people have been encouraged to participate to the point where we had to take drastic action to prevent Jay and Brett from taking over NYLXS like they did NY Fair Use. Nobody else operates like this in the open. Everyone else operates in cloak and dagger. And obviously, they reap the benefit of never having to be opened up to the kind of scrutiny which NYLXS and I've been put under. A fair minded individual, you would think, would smarten up over some time. > If it's an open meeting, > > then call it that if you announce it here. I did, and you didn't respond.
Peter says most people haven't had the "direct contact" with me that others have? Whatever that is a euphemism for, you can bet it is based on utter crap. I never treated NYLUG, Jim, Peter, or anyone in this community without complete respect they deserved, and NOBODY has had to do the internal politics I've had to JUST TO PRESERVE NYLXS as a functional OPEN and independent organization.
