I have to put food on the table, thus the amount of time available for this kind of discussion is limited and prevents me from addressing much more than that which lands in today's mail, and often not even that.

*yawn* So what _else_ is new? As I already said, the Ignoramus Software Vendors are coming to Linux, and this is the kind of shit you'll soon be seeing on our platform of choice as well. It has nothing to do with Microsoft, these people "design" and write shitty software because it's all they're capable of and it's a herculean effort on their part just to do that. The fact that it's illegally incompetent is hardly breaking news either. No one cares if you break the law in the United States so long as you have money to fork over to the government. When's the last time you were in a district court? The DA and the defendant's lawyer agree on a lie for the defendant to tell the judge, after the defendant perjurs themselves, the judge, who knows damn well that he's being lied to by everyone from the Assistant DA to the cops and the defendant asks to have the perjury confirmed, and then so long as the defendant can write a check, everyone's happy. Just to bring this back on-topic, please note that Microsoft got away with raping the United States of America, and their "punishment" consisted almost entirely of being allowed to keep their ill-gotten gains, monopoly, and predatory practices. Why should a little health care company worry about operating within the bounds of the law? As proved by Microsoft, it's more profitable not to.
