No, in fact it's an indicator that Freeness is an arbitrary thing for which there is no ultimate arbiter. Debian's declared the FDL non-free, obviously the FSF begs to differ. It's currently less of a problem for Free Software than it is for Open Source, which frankly is a mess, and according to Pamela Jones, stacked with people who think like Sun, and are looking to pretend to be Open, rather than actually being Open Source. In this regard, it's just as poor a choice of naming as Free Software is. (people confusing price and freedom) With Open Source, there are people who want you to confuse being able to _see_ the code with being able to use it as you wish. These companies want to turn Open Source into Microsoft's "Shared" Source. I'm sure it's no surprise that CA thinks Sun's CDDL is a good thing, CA still has no idea with Open Source or Free Software actually are, and they're bound to be easily mislead even if they mean well. (which I'm not vouching for)
