I haven't heard this. Rumor or real? The PalmOS 6 is a BeOS derivative, I know.. but I haven't heard anything about Linux. That would be something special.
PalmOS seems about a decade behind WinCE from the API PoV.
Single process, single thread, even a single event loop? No filesystem!!!! Just databases in a flat space. Yikes! There's VFS, but it's hard to use and doesn't apply to RAM.
They deserve all of the death they get... I really hope they have something up their sleeve, because the devices are pretty nice... HOWEVER!
