I'm using the 2.0 beta and now I can finally open this 90page internal Word document that I have to *constantly* refer to at work. It used to be that the only way I could open it (I don't have Word) was with the Word97Viewer, or with a word processor I have on my Palm Pilot (eek!). For some reason, this document would CRASH every version of OpenOffice1.x that I've ever fed it to. OpenOffice2.x handled it rather well, but not perfectly.. Still, bravo to them on the beta so far..
The OOo program itself looks MUCH nicer than 1.x did, but still looks like the UI theme that M$FT was doing 3 years ago. Which is fine, I guess. ____________________________ NYLXS: New Yorker Free Software Users Scene Fair Use - because it's either fair use or useless.... NYLXS is a trademark of NYLXS, Inc
