I'll add:
1) common sense is overrated. 2) Humanity has too much free time on its hands. This is only going to get worse, so get used to it. We've caged most of our would-be predators (animal, microbial, and human), and we have more than enough food, tech, and drugs. I don't assume that we'll advance and evolve under such sustained conditions. 3) The majority of print publications are written by the same class of bs artist, just a more polished turd.
