Modelines are ignored by the i810 module if they don't match a resolution advertised by the BIOS. This is because the i810 X module isn't a driver, but a BIOS trampoline. Trust me, Ruben, I've been through everything on this, including the C source for the X module. There's nothing about this problem that you're going to be able to tell me.

I'm sure David Dawes is thrilled to be mentioned here... They should have only mentioned intel... David is powerless to fix this without intel's cooperation. Totally irresponsible of EmperorLinux to flood his inbox in that way, IMHO.
