We're a fast paced financial company looking to add another person to our team. The primary tasks for this position are to handle the day to day administration tasks as well as security and networking of our production environments. The environment is a heavy Solaris, Linux and FreeBSD environment.
The candidate were looking for should be comfortable operating in UNIX environments and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. The candidate must also be willing and able to learn quickly, as the environment changes constantly and rapidly. It is a bonus if the candidate has had real-world experience with Cisco routers and switches in a production environment, as well as a good understanding of firewalls (Checkpoint) and IDP/IDS systems. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with Unix systems and is looking for an opportunity to grow in a dynamic environment. Being on call with a pager and cell phone is required (24/7, shared with other team members).
Skill sets were looking for (not all are required):
- Unix (Solaris) software and hardware, *BSD, Linux
- Experience with Cisco hardware and IOS
- Basic programming skills in C/Perl/PHP/ksh
- Veritas products (VxVM, VxFS, NetBackup)
- Checkpoint Firewall-1 and VPN-1 and Nokia IPSO Platforms
- Apache, BIND 9, SQL, and other common software packages
- Strong knowledge of networking
- NIDS and Security auditing
